Fair Day
It is a time for the community to come together
Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival, also known as The Fair, is a yearly celebration of the town’s history and heritage. It is a time for the community to come together and celebrate. The festival takes place on the last Friday of June each year and is a week-long event that includes a variety of activities.
During the Fair Day, each school in the town is represented with a selection of Fairies, Flowergirls, and Presentees. But, each year a different school will host the retinue, this means that this school will have the Queen Elect, Chief Lady, Champion, Queen of the Fairies, Queen of the Flower Girls along with several other regal roles from their school are also present on the day.
Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival is a small charity that works closely with schools and other parties to deliver a magical day for the town. They organise a number of fundraising events throughout the year to make this happen. The Fair is funded by donations, grants, and fundraising events. The committee works tirelessly to ensure that the day is a success, and they rely solely on the generosity of the community to make it happen.
Bo’ness Children’s Fair Festival is a registered charity in Scotland (SC031990)
