Fair E’en

The Unveiling of the Arches

What Makes Fair E’en Special?

On this night, the months of planning and hard work within our community are finally revealed. It is a time-honored tradition where the streets of Bo’ness come alive.

The Unveiling of the Arches: Walk the town to see the spectacular, large-scale decorative arches and frontages built by families to honour the Queen, her Retinue and children whole have a role from each of our 5 Primary Schools. From fairytale castles to floral masterpieces, these structures are a testament to our community spirit, and tell the story of the year’s Fair.

The “Buzz”: There is a unique atmosphere as thousands of locals and “Fair-mily” members walk the streets, greeting old friends and soaking in the atmosphere. Local bands will grace the streets bringing music and vibrancy to the event.

The Final Countdown: As the sun sets, the excitement reaches a fever pitch. The outfits are ready, the arches are lit, and the town stands prepared for the crowning of the Queen the following morning.
