Bo’ness Fair Day 2026: Road Closures & Travel Info

With Fair Day just around the corner, to ensure the safety of all participants and to give everyone a great view of the public procession, Falkirk Council has officially issued a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (TTRO/3267).

Whether you are planning to attend the crowning, line the streets to watch the grand procession, or travelling locally, here is everything you need to know about the upcoming road closures so you can plan your travel smoothly.

Key Dates & Times

The temporary prohibition of traffic will be in place on Friday 26th June 2026 from 09:00 hours to 14:30 hours.

Please note: Roads will only be closed when appropriate traffic signs are displayed, and they will reopen as soon as it is safe to do so after the procession passes.

 Affected Roads and Streets

The closure will impact several main routes and residential streets across Bo’ness. No vehicles will be permitted on these lengths of road during the specified times:

  • Braehead
  • Church Wynd
  • Stewart Avenue
  • Church Wynd
  • Seaview Place Roundabout
  • Seaview Place
  • North Street
  • Main Street
  • Links Road
  • Grangepans
  • Cowdenhill Road
  • Philpingstone Road
  • Grange Loan
  • Harbour Road
  • Grahamsdyke Road
  • Dean Road

Falkirk Council has taken into account the safety and convenience of alternative routes, so local diversions will be available for general traffic.

Local diversion routes will be signed. Emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance, Coastguard) and official event vehicles will maintain full access.
